SPE Textbook Series

A couple of days ago, someone needed some recommendations on textbooks in petroleum engineering within an online group discussion. To be honest, that is really a huge question. I did not respond to it, but I want to offer some choices here. Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) textbook series are highly recommended from my viewpoints. This series of textbooks could be traced back to the year of 1972, from when SPE began publishing high-quality textbooks in petroleum engineering for undergraduate students or graduate students without petroleum engineering background. Until now, 11 volumes of this series have been published. The scope of the books cover almost every area in petroleum engineering, such as drilling, production, exploration, and reservoir engineering. Some of the books are very old, but classic. Most of them are still used in petroleum engineering programs as textbooks. The basic information of these 11 volumes are listed below. Also, they are available on the official website of SPE.
